Fellowships
Sports Medicine Fellowship
The Full Circle Health focuses on patient care in the context of the family and the community. With the development of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship, not only will the fellow follow the family medicine tradition, but may incorporate the knowledge of sport and exercise in caring for patients of all ages. The fellow will be provided with an experience sufficient to acquire the competence of a physician with added qualifications in this field.
HIV & Viral Hepatitis Fellowship
The HIV & Viral Hepatitis Fellowship is a 12-month post-residency training opportunity that provides a suitable environment for the Family Medicine physician to gain additional experience providing comprehensive care to HIV-positive patients, including management of antiretroviral therapy and opportunistic infections. This fellowship will also place specific emphasis on provision of care to the underserved and rural HIV-positive populations.
Geriatric Fellowship
The Full Circle Health has created a 12-month ACGME accredited Geriatric Fellowship for physicians who have completed their three years of family medicine residency training. Fellows will be selected through a competitive application and interview process and must be board certified or eligible for board certification in family medicine. Fellows will be offered the opportunity to work with geriatric experts for one year focusing on the clinical care of older adults.
OB Fellowship
The Primary Care Obstetrics Fellowship is a 12-month post-residency training opportunity that provides a suitable environment for the Family Medicine physician to gain additional experience in operative obstetrics, both cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries, as well as high risk maternity care across all spectrums: antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum. It combines this with continued exposure to Family Medicine.
Rural Medicine Fellowship
The Rural Medicine Fellowship is a 12 month/13 “block” post-residency program that provides specialty training in emergency and acute care topics such as trauma, ortho trauma, critical care, stabilization, transition of care including EMS and life flight experience, and related procedures. The goal is to train broad-spectrum family physicians to provide high quality pediatric and adult emergency medicine services in a rural, under-served, or isolated community. Training takes place between both major hospital systems in beautiful Boise as well as in our surrounding communities. Specific training includes procedures such as central lines, airway management and intubation, chest tubes, thoracentesis/paracentesis, laceration repair, conscious sedation, fracture/dislocation management, and bedside ultrasound.
