Kelsey Wertzler, MD
Nampa South Clinic Director
Kelsey Wertzler grew up in Portland, Oregon and attended Washington State University for undergraduate and graduate school. Originally interested in cancer research, she earned Bachelor’s degrees in Biotechnology and Genetics/Cell Biology and later completed her Master’s of Science in Biochemistry. While studying at the Universidad de Sevilla in Seville, Spain she also completed a minor in Spanish language. Between summer classes, she enjoyed working as a white water rafting guide on the Salmon River out of Riggins, Idaho. Kelsey attended the University of Washington for medical school and enjoyed the opportunity to travel throughout the WWAMI region to complete her clinical courses. In medical school, she earned certificates for additional training in the areas of rural medicine, global health and Hispanic health. Destined for family medicine from the beginning, Kelsey was thrilled to match to the Full Circle Health in Boise for her residency training. Kelsey is grateful to continue with the Full Circle Health family, now as a faculty member and Clinic Director. Her areas of interest in medicine are gynecology, obstetrics, family planning, wilderness medicine, and integrative medicine. She loves practicing her Spanish skills with her many Spanish-speaking patients. Kelsey believes the most rewarding part of family medicine is developing long lasting relationships with patients and their families.
